Hainanese Chicken Rice is a Singaporean staple, and we were stoked when Sing Swee Kee approached us for our food photography and food styling services.
Founded in 2001, Sing Swee Kee is one of the rare establishments to keep the notion of old school Chicken Rice Balls alive. Inspired by their fiery orange chilli sauce, we used an orange backdrop and warm colour tones to add vibrancy to the otherwise neutral palette of simple, yet tasty plates of Chicken Rice. In contrast, the spicy noodle bowls were shot on a light grey backdrop, accentuating the vibrant reds of the various chillis and fresh ingredients.

More than just your average bowl of Wanton Noodles, 椿风满面 (Chun Feng Man Mian) is the epitome of artisanal hawker dining. Founded by two F&B veterans on a quest to create the ultimate Wanton Noodles.
We were tasked to develop the branding and food photography for Chun Feng Man Mian’s stall at Amoy Food Centre. In line with the artisanal branding, we elevated the branding with curated serveware, fresh ingredients, and warm overtones that allude to an enticing and inviting meal.

Located in the basement of Marina Bay Sands lies Rasapura Masters, a gourmet food court that brings together the best of Singapore street food.
Rasapura takes Laksa to the next level, elevating the humble street food with premium seafood for luxury in every bite. As an ode to Singapore’s heritage as a fishing village, we used rustic textures such as hemp and rattan. Each main dish was embellished with complementary ingredients of dried chillis and banana leaves to fill the frame. Laksa and its seafood has natural warm tones of red and orange. To create a focal point, we contrasted the dishes with a muted grey background, allowing the hero dishes to pop naturally.

The brief was to style and shoot iconic local street food with a modem, elevated touch. Every single prop and tableware was carefully selected to complement the texture and colours of each dish. Paired with fresh draught tiger beer, the series effectively captured the essence of Singapore Hawker dining.
