Hungry Planet prides itself on its nutritious, plant-based meat crafted by a culinary team of world-renowned chefs. With a mission to fight climate change, Hungry Planet offers ready-made and β€˜raw’ plant-based meat in the forms of chicken, beef, pork, crab and Italian sausage.

With the launch of their Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, we were engaged to curate six plant-based recipes inspired by regional dishes, along with food photography and food styling. We gave well-loved dishes the meatless treatment, keeping them distinctive with traditional ingredients, yet wholesome at the same time. To evoke a sense of freshness, we opted for brighter tones paired with vibrant vegetables.

Since 1892, The Balvenie has mastered the art of whisky brewing, serving up single malt whiskies with unique expressions underpinned by a distinctive honeyed character.

As part of their campaign to promote whisky pairing, The Balvenie tasked us to curate a series of fine dining recipes along with a photoshoot. We opted for warm tones to complement the golden hues of The Balvenie’s whisky. To evoke a sense of luxury, we created exquisite dishes with intricate plating, some even incorporate whisky as a key ingredient. Finally, styled raw fruits were used to highlight the whisky’s tasting notes, while adding visual interest to each image.

NTUC Fairprice is a household name in Singapore as the largest retailer with more than 230 outlets islandwide.

The COVID-19 pandemic gave rise to the trend of home cooking. Riding on this trend, NTUC Fairprice endeavoured to inspire home cooks with with simple, delicious recipes. Over the course of 2021, we were engaged to develop a series of recipes based on local favourites, festive seasons and trending dishes. These recipes were published on Fairprice’s website and social media channels, garnering high engagement from their large following.

Revelling in moonlit splendour, we partnered with Glenfiddich to develop not one but two exquisite snow skin mooncakes for Mid-Autumn Festival. Inspired by the brands’ iconic whisky flavours, we worked closely to conceptualise the entire concept–recipe development & product manufacturing, packaging design, illustration, set design and photography.

The Glenfiddich Our Original Twelve Mooncake is an ode to the brand’s symbolic Valley with a Matcha-pistachio snow skin in a forest green hue and aromatic hints of apple, pear and vanilla. With a filling of roasted barley and brown sugar, it mimics the nuttiness of the whisky, offset by a white chocolate pear jam and whisky truffle at its core. 

Encapsulating the mysterious allure of the twilight hour, the Glenfiddich Our Solera Fifteen Mooncake is enriched with hints of spicy, honeyed oak. Its skin is infused with dark ganache whisky truffle speckled with peppers and chilli for a light hint of spice. Its purple skin envelopes a filling of honey and orange blossom, which enhances the piquancy of the mooncake.

To usher in the year of the golden pig in true Chun Tsubaki fashion, no effort was spared to spread festive cheer and good tidings to our friends and corporate clients. Truth be told, it was a very rushed job but the team worked efficiently to produce their respective collaterals.

The first aspect of our Lunar New Year gifting involved β€˜Red Packets’. Red is the traditional colour of the festive season for it signifies warmth, good fortune and prosperity in the spring festival. However, we wanted to refine and redefine these red packets, to allow our design to stand out among the commonplace red packets while retaining oriental elements. Hence, the decision was made to have it in our corporate Navy. blue, with elements of camellias and cherry blossoms, emblems of spring as well as our branding of β€˜Tsubaki’.

The second element of our corporate gifting was our Miso Caramel Tarts with Pork Floss. Cookies and sweets are often given to friends and relatives, to wish them glad tidings and sweet success. Inspired by Pineapple Tarts, we decided to switch things up with a miso caramel filing encased in a buttery melt-in-your-mouth crust, and finally garnished with pork floss for decadence.

Working in conjunction with Adjectif & Co, we lent our space out to host the media event for the launch of Laura Mercier’s Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick. The event brought together the entire team, with event photography by Jaegen Tan, catering of specialty mobile coffee cart by Butler Koffee and canapΓ©s by Chef Ryan.

in line with the French heritage of Laura Mercier’s branding, a custom menu was curated to feature classic French favourites and flavours. The menu included of the following: ArpΓ¨ge Egg, Foie Gras Blini w Sweet Caramalised Onion, Balsamic Glazed Roasted Ratatouille on Polenta Bites, Wagyu Beef Bourguignon Cubes on truffle mash, Iced Honeydew & Mint Spritzer.

In the spirit of giving for Christmas, we decided to whip up some goodies to thank our clients and partners for all the opportunities and projects in 2018. To kickstart the yuletide on a sweet note, the team got together to create the ultimate corporate gift. Chef Ryan whipped up handcrafted Gula Melaka Marshmallows, dusted with desiccated coconut, inspired by ondeh ondeh. The packaging design retains the blue hues of our studio branding with festive elements of Christmas holly and berries.

In collaboration with The Ate Group, our team took on the challenge of end-to-end services for HermΓ©s world tour of The CarrΓ© Club. This included project management, manpower planning, bar styling, menu design and execution, menu curation and execution, as well as packaging sourcing. Direct from New York, this exclusive pop-up event centred around the brand’s iconic silk square scarves and vivid hues of discotheques, The CarrΓ© Club’s menu was created to feature local favourites with a modern twist, presented in perfect squares and vivid hues of ingredients to mimic the scarves of HermΓ©s.

Working hand in hand with multi-national brand Harvey Norman, we collaborated on a 12-part series of food-focused series with the theme of home-cooking made easy. The content created for this campaign aimed to showcase Harvey Norman's electrical kitchen range and were produced in various mediums, including photography stills to videos and blog posts, published on Harvey Norman and @xlbcr's social media platforms. An array of classic and contemporary recipes were developed specifically for this campaign; from hearty mains such as Roast Chicken and Pulled Pork Burgers to tantalising Asian dishes such as Kimchi Tofu Mandu and sweet treats like the Pandan Chiffon Cake.
